An exam that helps children address these three issues:

1.1 Not just an exam, but also a diagnosis

This exam will be divided into three sections:

“Basic Questions” —— Based on school curriculum knowledge

“Material analysis question” —— New to all students, this section introduces knowledge points and their usage through provided materials, assessing learning ability

“Extension Questions” —— Based on primary school math olympiad content, evaluating the child's foundation in olympiad math

Additionally, this exam will provide a professional learning analysis and diagnosis, including a “PAIS Personal Learning Ability Diagnosis” report. This report will help students clearly understand their strengths, weaknesses, and positioning, offering recommendations to better plan their future learning direction and goals.

1.2 Not just an exam, but also a selection

Kangaroo.Study’s secondary school courses will begin during the end-of-year holidays in 2024, and will be divided into “Cultivation Class, Enhancement Class, Innovation Class, Elite Class, and Exploration Class.” The courses include not only specialized programs for secondary math competitions, such as “Elite Class” and “Exploration Class,” which provide systematic learning of competitions and help achieve high scores, but also extension and enhancement courses for school-based/O&A-Level mathematics, such as “Cultivation Class” “Enhancement Class” and “Innovation Class” using a “Pre-study of S1 Math + Extension” model, study S1 Math in advance, to solidify basics, further extend and enhance knowledge, and fully explore students’ potential.

This exam will serve as the basis for admission of new students and for class type upgrade of current students.

1.3 Not just an exam, but also includes explanations.

Following the exam, on October 8th and 9th, we will arrange for teachers to conduct a comprehensive review of the exam papers. This will address any questions students had during the exam, analyze the reasons for mistakes, refine problem-solving methods, and help them thoroughly understand the questions they made mistakes on. Through this review, students will not only learn new knowledge but also gain insights into secondary school mathematics concepts.

2. Introduction to the Exploration Class:

The Kangaroo.Study Secondary School Exploration Class and Elite Class are designed for secondary school competitions. Since their inception, students in these classes have consistently achieved outstanding results:

※ In 2023 the first batch of students participated in the SMO (Junior):

In the Exploration Class, 10 students participated in the exam, with 100% advancing to the second round. Out of these, 10 received gold medals, 6 entered the Top 30, 4 reached the Top 10, and 5 were selected for the Junior Training Team for the first time.

※ In 2024 the second batch of students participated in the SMO (Junior):

In the Junior group, participants represent less than 1.5% of the total national participants. Those advancing to the second round make up 25.8% (32/124) of the national second-round roster (with Question 5 of the second round being the same problem in our study materials). Among the 19 participants from the Exploration Class, 100% advanced to the second round, with 10 reaching the Top 30 and 3 making it to the Top 10. Additionally, 16 students (84% of all participants) were selected for the Junior Training Team.

※ Exploration Class student Yang Yihan

After rigorous selection through the Nations Training Team, Yang Yihan was chosen for the 2024 Singapore National Team in Secondary 4 for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), which consists of only 6 members nationwide. Yang ultimately won the only gold medal for the Singapore team at the IMO and ranked 14th in the world.

Examination Fee：Free
