The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS) is organized by Hwa Chong Institution and is one of the most prestigious math competitions for primary school students in Singapore, highly valued for DSA. In 2002, the competition was renamed the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS), inviting participants from other Asia-Pacific countries. Each year, around 3,000 students from Singapore participate.

2023: APMOPS: 21 students participated, with 4 receiving Platinum awards (out of 50 in Singapore), making up 19.04%. Additionally, 4 students won Gold medals, 8 won Silver medals, and 2 won Bronze medals. 2024: APMOPS: Out of a total of 50 Platinum and 70 Gold medals in Singapore, 11 were awarded to Kangaroo.
