Why Are We Conducting a Short-Term Course During the Holiday Season?

With less than 20 days remaining before the new school term begins next year, students face a pressing challenge: limited time to master all the P6 modules for the PSLE Math exam. Based on our analysis of PSLE exam papers for the past three years, the three most important and difficult modules include Area and Volume, Fractions, Ratio & Percentage, and Geometry. Therefore, to help students tackle these challenging modules in the PSLE math exam, Teacher Smith is conducting a short-term course this week (14th & 15th December), focusing on two essential P6 PSLE Math knwoledge points: Fractions and Compound Shapes.

First Lesson Highlights: Tackling Fractions

The short-term workshop kicked off with Teacher Smith’s first lesson on Fractions today. Part of the lesson addressed fraction division & fraction word problems, ensuring students could confidently apply these concepts in the PSLE math exam. Fractions are not only a fundamental topic in the PSLE Math syllabus but also a key component of related modules such as Ratio and Percentage. Recognizing their importance, the session aimed to help students solidify their understanding and problem-solving skills in this critical area.      

Teacher Smith was guiding students through the module and clarifying its key concepts.

This was not just a lesson but also an intensive assessment. After the lesson, the teacher distributed post-lesson test papers to evaluate the students’ understanding of the material.
