Preparing for SMO but Unsure How to Study? Kangaroo Study Opens Inspiration Class from Proven Success Does your child fit into one of these? 1. Has some talent in Math, wants to explore some Secondary Olympiad, but has not/barely started? 2. Participated in SMO this year, achieved some results, but unsure how to plan for next year? 3. Doing well in school math, but want to expand horizons in Math without knowing where to begin? At Kangaroo Study, our teachers have met many parents and students interested in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO). This group often shares a similar background: · They have strong interest in SMO, and some may even have taken part this year. · However, they often have little prior Olympiad experience or have not learnt Secondary Math Olympiad under a structured system. · While they perform well in school math, they find it difficult to translate that strength into SMO success, where questions demand higher-order applications of concepts. Student attempting to solve SMO questions through calculation instead of methods Because SMO is so competitive, many worry that they might already be “too late” to start. But this is not true. Each SMO category spans two years, giving students plenty of time to learn, grow, and benefit from both the knowledge gained and the achievements possible through preparation. Over the years, Kangaroo Study has guided many students to excellent results in SMO, built on our robust and comprehensive Olympiad syllabus. With the right foundation, even students new to Olympiad can achieve breakthroughs.
New Inspiration Class: Bridging the Gap The new Inspiration Class is specially designed to bridge high-performing school math students into SMO preparation, equipping them with the methods, strategies, and problem-solving mindset needed to excel. Below shows the schedule of the Inspiration class:
