New Sec 1 Kangaroo Cup: A Successful Wrap-Up
   
On Sunday, November 9, Kangaroo Study successfully hosted the New Sec 1 Kangaroo Cup Calculation Contest.



   
During the one-hour paper-based contest, students took on three sections designed to test both their foundation and flexibility in calculation:
  
1. Primary Calculation Review – Covering integers, decimals, and fractions.
2. Secondary Application – Introducing new symbols such as negative signs, powers, roots, and absolute values.
3. Advanced Techniques – Featuring logic-based and challenging problems that pushed students’ thinking further.
   
Many students shared after the contest, “The questions were tough, but it was a really good practice.”
   
Analysis & Feedback
After the contest, our teachers have been working hard to complete the marking. Each student will receive a personalised analysis report highlighting their strengths and areas for improvement across different calculation sections. All reports will be sent to parents by 11:59 PM on 12 November (next Wednesday). We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing the results soon!

To recognise outstanding performances, Kangaroo Study also prepared exciting prizes for our top scorers:

What’s Next: Calculation Skills Open Class
While the contest has ended, the journey of improvement continues.Kangaroo Study will be hosting a Calculation Skills Open Class to help students review contest questions and strengthen their problem-solving foundations.
