June Holiday Class | P6 PSLE Math Course Starting Soon
Less Than 6 Months to PSLE: Time to Focus and Break Through
Many students and parents are entering the final stretch of exam prep, but we’ve noticed three common challenges that still hold many students back:
1. Key topics are not fully masteredMany students have started revising, but their understanding of high-frequency PSLE topics is still patchy. Especially for tougher, commonly tested questions, many can only answer halfway, not confidently. Without targeted revision, blindly doing more practice has little impact on actual score improvement.
2. Can’t solve unfamiliar question types
PSLE tough questions aren’t just about difficulty. They’re about flexibility. For example: converting fractions to percentages, combining volume with ratio, or mixing unit conversions. Many students only learn surface-level techniques and don’t build transferable problem-solving skills. A small variation in the question and they get stuck.
3. Studying hard, but not effectively
At this stage, every bit of learning time counts. Yet some students go in circles with the "fix what I got wrong" approach, without clear priorities. They do lots of questions but don’t see real score gains.
Part 1: Focus Areas of the P6 PSLE June Holiday Class
To tackle these issues head-on, Kangaroo Study’s Term 2 programme is designed with three proven strategies:
Step 1: Focused analysis of past PSLE papers
Our teachers break down PSLE questions from the past three years to extract the most tested concepts and must-know question types. These are built into the lessons for targeted teaching and drilling, helping students build a strong, exam-ready framework.
Step 2: Progressive learning structure
Our lessons follow a "simple to advanced" structure. Students start with typical examples and gradually move into variations, question integrations and mixed application problems. The goal is for students to understand clearly, solve accurately, and remember effectively.
Step 3: Strengthening thinking flexibility and adaptability
We’ve designed a module specifically for mixed-problem types. Teachers guide students to analyse logic patterns, identify solving paths, and reflect on common errors. Through this process of explanation, notes, discussion and reflection, students will be trained to stay calm and adaptable during real exams.
Part 2: P6 PSLE June Holiday Class Schedule
To help every student make the most of the holidays, our programme is split into three periods. Each period covers the same content, so students only need to sign up for one.
This holiday course includes 8 sessions, covering key PSLE Math topics such as ratio, percentage, fractions, angles, 3D geometry, and more.
The course content aligns closely with exam requirements, helping students:
- Fill gaps
- Consolidate commonly mistaken topics
- Build a clear and complete knowledge system
Each period includes 7 teaching sessions + 1 final test. Time slots are flexible depending on class level to accommodate different needs.
We also use a placement-based system, matching students to different class types based on their current learning level and goals.
Two Class Levels to Meet Different Needs
Cultivation Class
This course focuses on systematically revising core P6 math topics, covering all fundamental and intermediate problem types. It ensures students truly master solving techniques and steadily achieve AL1 in PSLE.
In Term 3, high-difficulty integrated problems and advanced training will be added to enhance students’ ability to tackle complex questions. With four rounds of mock exams, we will strengthen exam pacing and on-the-spot performance—helping students improve both their accuracy and confidence.
Enhancement Class
Building upon the content of the Cultivation Class, this course goes further by covering advanced, challenging, and secondary-bridge topics. It is designed for students aiming to score full marks and further develop higher-order thinking skills.
The course places emphasis on logical reasoning, structured problem-solving, and question-type breakthroughs. It equips students not only with exam skills but also with a strong theoretical and cognitive foundation for secondary school mathematics.
Through our structured class placement system, we ensure every student learns at the right pace, grows with clear goals, and achieves meaningful breakthroughs.
