Recap of our Primary 4 Word Problem Challenge
Word Problem questions make up one-third of the NMOS paper. The foundational word problem skills learned at this stage also lay the groundwork for tackling more complex percentage-related problems in Primary 5. On August 3 at 15:00 PM Kangaroo Study hosted a free Word Problem Challenge for Primary 4 students designed to strengthen understanding, identify areas for improvement, and build confidence through practice.
Word Problem Challenge Day Recap
14:30 Arrival of Participants Students and parents arrived at our classrooms. Our guides and teaching assistants were on hand to facilitate a smooth and orderly check-in and seating process.
15:00 Challenge Commences! During the 1 hour challenge, students gave their full focus and effort on the questions presented.
16:00 End of Challenge! All scripts were promptly marked by our teachers on the same day, who ensured a fair grading process.
16:30 Award Ceremony With the conclusion of the challenge, we presented certificates to participants who performed exceptionally and gave their best in the exam. Tr. Smith addressed all participating students and their parents in recognition of their effort and perseverance.
Following that, certificates and gifts were presented to the students. The award categories include: Honourable Mention, Third Tier Prize, Second Tier Prize and First Place Prize.
After receiving their awards, the children smiled brightly as they held up their certificates and prizes.
These awards not only symbolise students’ achievements, but will also encourage them to keep moving forward in their mathematics journey. We look forward to seeing their continued progress. Follow-up Arrangements
