After students completed Round 1 of the GEP Round 1, Tr. Boqian hosted a YouTube live session today from 6:30–7:30 PM, providing both students and parents with an engaging exam question analysis. The session helped both parties quickly review the GEP exam, identify gaps, and master core problem-solving strategies. This live session also perfectly echoed the previous “prediction questions” and “check-in activities.”

Overall, this round of the exam was of moderate in terms of difficulty. The questions did not simply aim for complexity but rather focused on shifts in thinking and understanding conditions. As long as children pay attention to common pitfalls during review and continue to strengthen their practice in subsequent training, they will be able to further improve their performance.

According to Teacher Boqian’s experience, in order to successfully advance to Round 2, children should score 33 points or above. The results for Round 1 are expected to be announced in early October, while Round 2 exams will take place from October 14 to 15. Preparation during this period is crucial, and both parents and students can plan their study and practice effectively based on the teacher’s guidance.

In the GEP Round 2 exam, question types will not only continue the focus areas from Round 1 but will also show breakthroughs in depth and breadth. For example, in geometry, problem will appear at a more advanced level like area and perimeter, requiring children to have stronger comprehensive understanding and application skills. At the same time, new formats may also appear in explanatory questions, which demands that students not only have accurate problem-solving strategies but also can clearly articulate their reasoning process.
