P6 June Holiday & Semester 2 PSLE Class Enrolment Preparing Effectively for the 2026 PSLE to Secure AL1
With the PSLE just around the corner, some families are already in full revision mode while others finish the school syllabus. How can you strategically manage the remaining time to maximize Math scores and reach your academic goals?
1. Incomplete Mastery of Key Areas in PSLE: Hard to Achieve AL1 (1) Which Key Areas Need Review? Teachers from the Kangaroo Study's Research Department have analysed each question from Paper 2 over the past 4 years and compiled all key points: (2) How to Quickly and Comprehensively Master These Key Areas? Our June Holiday will focus more on these key areas, ensuring comprehensive learning to master all knowledge points before the exams. Our experienced teachers will delve deeply into each key concept.
By using examples, transitioning smoothly from simple to complex, and from easy to difficult.
2. Difficulty in Solving When Key Points Are Combined and Altered (1) Why Are Some Problems Unsolvable? Kangaroo teachers have analysed past PSLE papers and found that most students struggle when problems change slightly, such as fractions converting to percentages or involving proportional capacity questions. Struggle with percentage change problems, try converting them into proportion change problems to solve. (2) How to Solve This Issue? Our research group focuses on difficult PSLE questions in June Holiday and Semester 2. In Semester 2, mixed challenging problems are provided to guide students in analysing their characteristics, summarizing solutions, and methodically documenting their process, which is shared within class groups to prevent oversight. 3. Ready for Exam Day, Just Need to Perform Well Exam success also requires strategy. Students lacking in exam techniques might not fully demonstrate their abilities. For exam techniques, through the final four mock exams in Semester 2, students will learn to tackle easier questions first, manage their time, and maintain a proper mindset. Continuous analysis and adjustment after each exam ensure that they perform optimally in the actual PSLE. 4. P6 PSLE June Holiday & Semester 2 Syllabus
5. Teacher Introduction 6. Teaching Approach (1) Three Key Features ① Parents Can Observe Classes:
Each enrolled student may bring one parent to sit in during lessons. Parents can observe their child's learning progress, take notes, and understand the course content, provided they do not disrupt the class. ② Refund Policy:
Students may withdraw from the course at any time and receive a proportional refund. ③ Dual-Teacher Classroom:
Each class has a lead teacher and a teaching assistant. The lead teacher delivers the lesson, while the assistant tracks student progress and provides updates of the lesson (2) Teaching Principles ① Guidance,Not Pushing · Never directly provide solutions to problems. · Never force students to memorize formulas mechanically. · Ensure every student understands the reasoning behind methods. ② Without Understanding, No Leaving
Students must correct the following before leaving:
ii. Homework
iii. Classwork exercises
iv. Post-class test ③ Sense of Achievement · Never blame students for making mistakes. · Never question students' abilities. · Foster Student’s interest in learning through encouragement and praise
